Exceptional measures for Erasmus+ KA1 mobility projects concerning persons arriving in Finland from Ukraine

Approved Erasmus+ KA121 and KA122 adult education mobility projects can make adaptations to their plans and use Erasmus+ project grant to organise mobility periods in Finland for those fleeing the war in Ukraine. The possibility to adjust project activities only applies to projects of the new programming period (approved in 2021 or 2022). All changes must comply with the Erasmus+ rules with a few exceptions. The changes are assessed by the National Agency on a case-by-case basis.

The total grant awarded to the project remains the same despite changes in mobilities. In other words, it is not possible to increase the project grant beyond the originally granted amount, with the exception of accredited KA121 projects.

Examples of personal mobilities in adult education projects:

  • invited expert 2–60 days
  • job shadowing period 2–60 days
  • hosting a trainee teacher 10–365 days

In practice, a staff mobility participant could teach or guide (Ukrainian) adult learners in AE organisations, or an expert from an AE organisation in Ukraine could be invited either for a job shadowing period or as an expert, for example. Mobility funding for the teacher trainee mobility of higher education institutions is also available in accordance with the Programme Guide.
